GUNS - If you have several guns and are wondering which one will do the job the best on these hunts, here are the conditions. Most of the shooting is close range. Big honkers are often 25 yard shots. Snow Geese are usually further, from 25 to 40 yards. Ducks are also very close range. Choosing a gun that is good at close range is going to be you best option. A 2nd gun may not be a bad idea. Warm Clothes, Hat & Gloves-
One suggestion we have is to  bring along a face mask as they are the best way to hide your face.
(and keep it warm) Bring some warm clothes!

Fall Flight  Advantage, and Shadow Grass are good patterns.

Locking Gun Case- Airlines require that you have a  locking gun case,  or if you have a soft case, you must have a trigger lock.

Footwear- Cold feet can make a hunt miserable so bring  those good  boots and a good pair of waders along!

Shells- Canada has gone to steel shot, so be sure to bring shells that will do the job on big birds and ducks as well. #2's or better for geese is a good idea. 3" Kent available here for $15

Cooler for Game- If you are planning on bringing home the bounty. The airlines will allow  50 lbs.

    recommended size is 60 qt.

58 qt Colman coolers are available here for $60

Calls- Unlike other guide services, we encourage hunters to join in on the calling fun. So bring those calls along!

Retrievers- Bringing your  best friend along is fine with us, just be sure you have a certificate of health from your  Vet when you get ready to cross the border.

Big River calls are easy to blow. The snow goose call is essential, because the more calls in the spread the better.

For those of you who would like a challenge, I use an Eastern shoreman. You'll need to practice.
